Featured Project: Guelph Condo Wall
Gelderman replaced a rotting & failing twenty-five year old wood retaining wall and guard at a Guelph Condominium complex.
### Why was Gelderman selected for this project?
Because of our good relationship with other condos in the area, because we were able to do the work within the time constraints, and because we had a good reputation with the condo’s property manager.
### What solution did you choose?
We chose to build the wall using concrete wall products and a galvanized steel guard – all because they are permanent. The solution to the problem was provided by the engineering firm that was managing the project.
### What materials were used?
Sienna stone wall, concrete walkways and galvanized steel guards
A concrete drilling company bore the holes for the railing, a steel-fab company built and installed the guards, and a concrete company poured the sidewalks.
### What was the end result?
The project resulted in a more than satisfied customer and good relations with the engineer and the city of Guelph due to our attention to detail and proper installation techniques.
