Further to the previous post:We had Gelderman Landscape Services back to do another job for us. We have five HUGE bins that contain my vegetable gardens in our back-yard. I called this company to see if they could come and get rid of the stained mess I was currently walking on around these bins, and replace that with new stone pathways that would be as beautiful as the other pathways that this company had laid in the front and down the side of our home in the past. I am thrilled yet again with the results! The new stone pathways that they laid around our huge veggie garden bins have an artistic, random pattern that looks so professional. There is a slope in the grade (as I requested) so water will run off the stones and onto our lawn, so I won't be walking in puddles on the pathways to do my gardening anymore. I am so pleased that even with that requested slope for water run-off, there are no trip hazards despite the variety of shapes and sizes of the lovely stones that it took to create these pathways. It looks terrific! It is safe and dry to walk on and definitely lovely to look at. I'd like to thank Jay, Arturo and Tyler for their talent, artistic eye, attention to detail and for exceeding my hopes and expectations of what the end result would be. I also appreciated them checking in with me throughout the process to be sure we had a common understanding of the desired end results. Fantastic! YES! They made it even better than I had hoped for. We had stone wall garden embankments put in many years ago and I still absolutely LOVE them. Over time, the top caps of the garden walls got loose and would rock when I sat on them to pull weeds and plants my flowers. With one simple email to Harry Gelderman, he promptly sent two workers, Justin and Mike, to remedy the problem. As always, the workers were courteous, friendly, and very skilled in knowing the best way to remedy the concern, and they fixed the problem the right way. They removed the top caps, and properly glued them down so they would be secure. They didn’t simply push a little extra glue under the caps in hopes of them sticking. They removed them, put ample glue down and re-set the caps properly. These are all secure again. I love a company that does things right, and doesn’t just take the fast, easiest way out. Gelderman Landscaping didn’t charge me for this service. They stand behind their work and ensure that you are pleased with their work forever. What other company does that!!! Steve, Deklin and Zak were doing their scheduled groundskeeping at our townhouse complex (5029 Pinedale Ave) and when I interrupted Deklin asking, if possible, the crew could remove a bush and trim a tree that were overgrown in my bake yard. The crew that services our condo grounds is very polite and professional. I am on the condo board and had an issue that needed to be taken care of a few weeks ago regarding these fallen tree bean pods that were scattered all around our property. I approached Nate the lead hand for the crew and showed him my concerns regarding the pods. He was incredibly polite and assured me that he would personally look after things. Within an hour the pods were all gathered up and disposed of. It is so nice to deal with individuals that still believe that customer service is a big part of operations in 2022. Great job Nate!

A complete backyard makeover, removing a dilapidated old wood deck and replacing with a multi-level stone patio and new landscaping...Amazing job so far; Shawn and his demo crew were efficient, courteous and personable. The hardscape crew with Darren, Cody & Brian did a great job(above and beyond) with the stonework and very helpful contributions from Dave and Phil overseeing kept on top of changes as they occurred. The initial design from Michelle was spot on and Chris tied everything together for us riding shotgun on the whole project. Very much looking forward to the finishing touches with planting still to come when weather permits. Altogether, everyone from Geldermans have been a joy to deal with!Marie & Douglas,BurlingtonUpdate: Scott & Mo were by last week and did a great job cleaning up the side of the house with river rock & new window wells and laid the replacement sod to replace the front lawn that had seen better days. It's absolutely beautiful and we're so proud of the end results!

Gelderman did an amazing job on our property, took our lovely backyard and transformed it into a masterpiece. From design to project completion, everything was done in a responsive manner and the work was very professional. The onsite team of Shawn, Jay and Micel were amazing to work with each day, friendly, reliable and supportive. They left everything clean each day which was a task as this was a big project. Our project manager Dave did a great job in always explaining and troubleshooting throughout. Chris did a great job taking us through the quote and keeping us looped with timelines. All in all, we now have a backyard that will be enjoyed for years to come! Highly recommend Gelderman. If you're thinking about landscaping, you'd be silly not to bring these guys in for a chat and a quote. Thanks to the entire team!

I am a firm believer in passing on congratulations and praise when deserved. Therefore, I am sending you my comments today. I have lived in Beechwood Villas for 8.5 years and have been a Board Member for our Condo responsible for Landscaping and Snow Removal for the past 6 or so years. We have used Gelderman for both our landscaping and snow removal needs.Today we had two of your team members (Chris and Chris) visit our site to provide mulch around many of the trees surrounding our property on the perimeter of the complex as well as the interior ring-road on the outside areas of the pool and tennis court.I was informed by Greg Cranford that the mulch would be arriving on Monday May 16 and would be spread that day as well. Just before 7am on Monday I received a text from Greg requesting that because of the rain that day, Gelderman would like to have the mulch dropped off in one of the empty parking spaces on our property and that weather permitting it would be spread the next day (Tuesday). I indicated I was fine with this.Both Chris's showed up promptly this morning with the task of wheelbarrowing the mulch across our extensive property. Apparently there were supposed to be three members to do the job that day, however, one wasn't available. These 2 team members worked very hard distributing the mulch and the work they did spreading it around the trees was AMAZING! I could certainly tell that they both enjoyed what they were doing and took a lot of pride in doing their work. We have ordered mulch for several years at our property and our tree beds have never looked so great before.I noticed later in the day when I was returning to my unit shortly after 4pm that the guys had done a wonderful job cleaning up the area that the mulch was dropped off in our parking lot. I also noticed that with the leftover mulch they were able to add 2 more tree beds with mulch that enhanced the look of our property even more. They took the extra time and made the extra effort to sculpt out these two beds (which were a natural extension of the other trees with mulch on the property) without even being asked to do so. We hired Gelderman Landscape for an extensive backyard project in 2019. Our main contact was with Chris Mace, the VP of Landscape Construction and Design. It was the way Chris had treated us as potential clients, that sold us on working with Geldermans. As this was our first landscaping project, Chris walked us through each step of the way and helped us to prioritize our wants so that we could stay within our budget. That was not an easy task, as we had many wants. We were also putting in a pool, and Chris was instrumental in working with the pool company (Pool Doctors, Burlington) so that there was absolute coordination and the project was completed without any issues or hiccups. Chris and his team created a beautiful design and we could not be happier with the result. The project involved installing pavers, composite deck, pool coping and wall, granite countertop, partial fence, gas line, electrical, sod, gardens and trees. The landscaping crew were professional, respectful of both our property and that of our neighbours, and completed the work with artistry and craftsmanship. Over the past few years, whenever we had a question about a tree, the pavers, or maintenance of our property, Chris was quick to respond and provided outstanding after-project service. My husband I highly recommend Gelderman Landscape Services, and know you and your project will receive outstanding quality and service. We are a private school in Oakville and it is important to have all snow removed and areas salted before students start arriving. Gelderman has been amazing. Wow!!! Super Fantastic Service… on a very gray, (cold) drizzling rainy day in late November, Gelderman Landscaping arrived early with a full crew, who worked fantastically together as a team, all day clearing our 141 unit complex, (with 200+ trees) of all leaves, branches and debris. The complex has never looked cleaner.Four days later, we had a large overnight snowfall which continued into the next day. Again Gelderman had Snowplows for the main roads, bobcats for the driveways, and I witnessed the manual shoveling crew clearing our front steps and walkways at least twice that day. Everything was cleared professionally, salt put down, all by the end of the day. Gelderman completed a landscaping project for me in 2017 that included grading, french drain system and re-sodding the lawn, an armour stone retaining wall, building a deck with a retractable shade around a hot tub as well as some heavy duty gates. They did a great job and they do stand by their work by addressing any issues that come up well after the job is finished. Highly recommended.

Gelderman Landscaping designed and installed a project for my penthouse condo this Spring.Condo buildings have strict rules for trades that work in the building.This year another layer of expectations was added due to Covid.This company provided stellar work from initial planning and designing to the final installation phase,at the same time being aware and respectful of the rules of my building.The crew of Shane,Phil,Scott and Tyler ,who did the heavy lifting and planting ,were punctual,efficient,knowledgeable ,respectful and friendly.It was a pleasure to work with this company who realized my dream for a beautiful terrace!

Had Gelderman build a outdoor kitchen for us. Everything went smooth until we started to have an issue with the countertop. The countertop was made from stone. The countertop started to flake and get uneven to the point where you couldn’t put a glass down because it would just fall over. We had them seal it so it wouldn’t stain, but even after we had it sealed it would still stain. I ended up calling Nathan he came and looked at it and determined a new stone was needed. We were given 3 samples of stone to choose from. After choosing the stone he sent Louie and 2 other workers to remove the old countertop and replace it with the new one. Louie and the boys were very professional and very polite to my my and I. After the job was completed they cleaned everything up to the point where you didn’t even know any work had been done. Once again thanks to Nathen, Louie and the boys for a job well done.

Our business has been open for 5 years, and we have had different Landscape companies throughout those years. Gelderman Landscape Services is by far THE BEST! They have turned our landscape into something extraordinary in our first 3 visits. It is great to know the exact day your landscaping will be completed, compared to others, once again, by far THE BEST! Also, having the same team here weekly, has been AWESOME! Gelderman Landscape Services has been maintaining the gardens at our Condominium for just over a year now. I am fortunate to have a unit on ground floor facing a big beautiful garden. We've had two separate crews in over the last couple of days the first crew did some repair on our interlocking brick and some small landscaping work the second crew today was a masonry company they had come in and did some repair on our flagstone in our backyard. It was seriously one of the best experiences we've had with workers coming in and working on our property the crew people were friendly and just the nicest guys to have around both days, and the work was absolutely outstanding we would recommend them 150%, we definitely will have them back again.

We hired Gelderman for our backyard project that included installation of a stone patio, window well, pool, shed and new lawn\plants. They were able to refer us to a pool builder they work with for the pool installation and despite the delays and challenges everyone was dealing with due to the pandemic, our project was completed in 5 months! The crew was super professional and respectful. Special mention to Chris, Dave, Jay and the rest of the team. We couldn't be happier with our decision.

Our backyard project included landscape regrading, enhanced drainage, new patio installation at the basement walkout, new landing installation at the base of the upper deck stairs, new connecting walkway along one side of the house, installation of new fencing, gates, planting beds and sodding. After initial consultations and scheduling with Chris about the work to be done, Dave and his professional crew (Amanda, Shawn, Darren, Nathan) not only started the project earlier than expected, but also completed the job earlier than expected. You could easily tell the team worked well together, they took pride in their work, and were very friendly and courteous. In addition, team members were quite open and adaptive to accommodating changes as the project unfolded. There was minimal disruption for us and our neighbours, and the crew cleaned up at the end of each day. We are very happy with the end product, including the quality and selection of stone materials to complement our existing stonework. Visitors have been highly complementary and impressed with the appearance of our yard. We highly recommend Gelderman Landscape Services for the quality and value of their services.
